Quick question really, you hear about people chip tuning petrols (Not proper secondary ECU etc, just cheapy little ebay chips.) The question is do they actually work? Alot of the descriptions suggest that with a decat and decent induction setup 8-15 hp can be achived, no idea if its right or not. (Because a decat and induction setup on some cars can give that anyway Micra ftw!) What is it these chips actually do? Trick the engine into thinking theres cold air or what? Cheers Migs.

yes the little cheapy chips are actually resistors and most if not all the time fuck up your car. just a better ECU mapping session can help increase performance even without a turbo but they are not cheap
